The Minister said she will ensure that youth with disabilities will be linked to existing jobs in government and the private sector for skills development. The Minister further aims at renewing the child protection Unit in the ministry of Gender Labour and Social Development to ensure that the girl child is protected against rape.
Hon. Anite said many underage girls are being raped but denied justice. “Many children have been battered and others raped, am going to ensure that such issues are addressed through the child protection Unit,” said Anite.
Anite, who is the Northern Youth MP, replaced Ronald Kibule as the youth and children affairs minister. Her appointment has raised hope among the youth fraternity in the country.
